Dezember. Cincinnati.<\/p>\n<p class=\"fst\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Soeben bin ich von einer typischen von deutschen Genossen organisierten Versammlung zur\u00fcckgekehrt. Der gro\u00dfe Saal war gestopft voll. Kein Wunder auch, hatten doch die Sozialisten eine &#8218;deutsche Versammlung&#8216; angek\u00fcndigt, ohne zu sagen, dass eine Russin sprechen w\u00fcrde, noch dazu eine internationalistisch eingestellte Sozialistin! Alle m\u00f6glichen Leute waren gekommen, eine Menge Spie\u00dfer, brave deutsche B\u00fcrger. Auf ein paar Hundert kamen ein, zwei Dutzend Frauen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nach der Versammlung ist alles ganz anders als bei den amerikanischen Kundgebungen. Dort kommt man zu mir, sagt mir in herzlichem Ton: &#8218;<em>Eine gl\u00e4nzende Rede. Gerade das haben wir uns gew\u00fcnscht: mehr revolution\u00e4ren Geist in der Bewegung&#8216;<\/em>. Gew\u00f6hnlich kommen Proletarier mit sympathischen, ehrlichen Gesichtern; sie schimpfen auf die f\u00fchrenden Leute, sind voller Enthusiasmus und Glauben an die Massenbewegung<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>&#8218;Die amerikanischen Arbeiter verm\u00f6gen keine Opfer zu bringen&#8216;<\/em>, beklagen sich die Deutschen \u00fcber sie. <em>&#8218;Da haben sie gerade erst eine Gewerkschaft organisiert, doch statt zun\u00e4chst durch ordentliche Beitragszahlungen die Kasse zu st\u00e4rken, zetteln sie gleich einen Streik an.&#8216;<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"fst\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Eine typisch deutsche Argumentation: Die Organisation ist Selbstzweck.&#8220;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Alexandra Kollontai: <a
